Blog Blabber #1: IT'S CHRISTMAS!!

Blog Blabber #1: IT'S CHRISTMAS!!
HO HO HO,

GUYS!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE ITS ALMOST CHRISTMAS!!!!! I've never been so excited for Christmas as I am this year!! Just the thought of not having work or college and just being able to relax with my family and eat all the food I could possibly imagine and drink hot chocolate until my hearts content. Ah I just cannot wait...
Do you guys know what you're getting off Santa this year? I haven't asked anyone for anything in particular so it's going to be so much fun Christmas morning opening random prezzies!
I might actually do a video on what I got for Christmas? I've been so stuck for video ideas because I'm really limited due to not having a tri-pod stand yet.

Anywho, it is freezing here in Galway. But for some silly reason it hasn't snowed.. It never ever seems to snow in Ireland which is so disappointing because I want to make a snow man and throw snow balls at my boyfriend (hehe I'm evil ) Has it snowed where you're from yet? I've seen so many pictures on Twitter of snow in America and I'm so jealous!

What's your favourite thing about the holidays? Mine is spending time with my family and buying people presents! I pretty much have everyone's gift already got which is a record for me because I usually leave everything until the last minute.. oops..

Merry Christmas everyone :) I hope the holidays are wonderful for you and that you get everything you ask for!

Review: Wow Brown Ready to Glo Tanning Liquid

Review: Wow Brown Ready to Glo Tanning Liquid
A couple of months ago the lovely people at Wow Brown tan sent me a sample tan to try out and let them know what I thought about it so here's how I got on.

They sent me the Ready To Glo tanning liquid in Dark which is originally priced at €21.99. I was a bit worried at the fact that it was dark but when I actually applied it it seemed perfect! It comes out of a spray bottle and you just apply it to your mit and then onto your body. It dries super fast and as stated on the packaging the smell is 'boyfriend friendly' so it's not your typical self tanner smell.

It made me feel like I had a perfect natural glow once I showered it off the next morning. The color didn't turn out patchy or streaky. and lasted me a week exactly which I was very impressed by. I really enjoyed using this product and I will definitely purchase it once I've used up this bottle.
Although I wouldn't be the biggest fan of the packaging as the girl on the box looks pretty orange which may turn some people off but overall it is a brilliant product!

If you want to try out the Wow Brown range you can purchase Wow Browns products on wowbrown.com or check out your nearest pharmacy as most places stock Wow Brown products now!

The above product was sent to me from the brands PR Team for reviewing purposes. All opinions above are completely my own, 100% honest thoughts on the product.

If you have or decide to try out any of their products let me know what you think of them! :)

Where have I been?!

Where have I been?!
Hello there my lovelies, still remember me?
I know I know, you probably thought I was sucked into black hole or something because I've been gone for so long! It's a long story really..... Where do I begin?!

Well first of all I had my birthday, (woo finally 18!!) so I had so much planning to do for that but thankfully that went off nice and smoothly. Here's a picture of me on the night:  Dress is from Sara.

Soo, then when all the partying was over I got my first tattoo! (YAY!!)
I really really love and it means so much to me. It inspires me everyday to really believe in myself and know that I can achieve anything that I set my mind too.

I've also got my first term in college over with, and I really love it. I enjoy doing something I love everyday and I have met so many great people!
I'm hoping to get my YouTube channel up and running as soon as possible, the only problem is I'm having so much trouble trying to find a good editing software that will run on a net-book!! If you have any suggestions please let me know in the comments because I'm going crazy...

Anyways, I'm pretty sure I did have more news to tell you guys but I really can't remember.. so goodbye for now. I promise I'll be posting way more often!

Review: M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid Foundation

16:19 3
Review: M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid Foundation
Hey girlies!
I'm going to be doing a review on my M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid Foundation as you've probably guessed by the title... (blonde moment..).
First off, I adore the smell of this foundation, it smells like paint and I'm one of those very few people who actually like that smell. But anyways, having spent €36.00 on this I expected it to be flawless on my face but actually it was the opposite.

I really wanted to love this product, the texture of it is great and it applies nice and smoothly. It gave me medium coverage most of the time which is what I was aiming for when I purchased it. My one and only problem with this is that once I applied it onto my face it immediately dried out my skin and left me looking blotchy and dry. My skin is pretty dry anyway so this product didn't really benefit me in anyway. Even when I applied a ton of moisturiser beforehand I would still end up with the same result.

I have to admit I'm pretty bummed about this because it overall seemed like a great product so I've decided to still get my moneys worth out of it by mixing it with M.A.C  Mineralize Moisture Foundation.

I feel like this combination really works together because M.A.C Mineralize was made for people with dry skin so it leaves my face feeling moisturised with super coverage!

Overall I would recommend this foundation if you don't have dry skin! And if you do and you're willing to spend an extra €2 I suggest you get the M.A.C Mineralize Moisture Foundation.

Thanks for reading, let me know what you think if you have tried out either of these foundations! Louise xo.

August Favorites!

12:43 0
August Favorites!
Hey lovlies, I'm going to be sharing my August favourites with you, how crazy is it that summer is over already? But the most exciting season is yet to come: FALL!! Come on everyone loves fall and I'm super excited to start shopping for new fall clothing and make-up! Okay I'm rambling on, let get started on my favourites.

Make-up favourites first!
Essence Soft Touch Mousse in matte ivory : I absolutely adore this foundation/mousse. I love the way it applies so nicely to my skin and how it lasts for hours. It's in a small glass pot which is handy of your make-up bag so its very travel friendly. It does exactly what it says and leaves my skin which a matte finish that doesn't look cakey or dried out. Honestly, where could you go wrong for €5? I will definitely be running out to get more when I finish this one.

NYC Sky Rise Lengthening Mascara: I've been on a mascara craze this month trying out all different kinds or drugstore mascara so I figured I'd give this one a shot seeing as it was really affordable and sounded good. And I'm glad I did, I love the way this mascara transforms my eyes and really holds a curl. It doesn't smudge like many other mascaras usually do.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Pallet:  I know many of you have probably heard of this pallet multiple times which is one of the reason I bought it and I'm so glad I did. I absolutely love it, I love the colors and how they're so pigmented. It has definitely been my go to pallet over the past month. It makes creating a neutral eye or a smokey eye so much easier.

Sleek Pout Paint in the color Minx: I received this sample lip stain in my July Glossybox and I fell in love instantly when I used it. The color is so pretty, its a light neutral pink which is perfect for an everyday look. No doubt I will buy the full size version.

Nicka K lipstick in the color Glorious Pink: I sort of took a chance when buying this lipstick as I have never tried any of Nicka K cosmetics before but I'm happy I did. It is a light baby pink color that gives a light payoff on your lips. I purchased this off the website ikatehouse

Swatches of Nicka K lipstick and Sleek Pout Paint.

Left: Nicka K lipstick
Right: Sleek Pout Paint

Skin care favourites:

Clean & Clear Morning Energy Facial Wash: I've only been using this for a short while but I can tell already that I love it. Its so refreshing and makes my skin feel great. It doesn't break me out and really does wake me up on early mornings. I love the little bubbles in it because it really feels like they thoroughly clean my skin and the smell of it is glorious.

Simple Facial Toner: I've been using this for quite some time now and I really can't see myself using anything else because this does the job so well. It removes any excess dirt and make-up on my skin leaving me fresh. It doesn't irritate my skin and leaves me oil free. What's not to love about it?

Simple Eye Make-up Remover: Because I'm such a mascara and eyeliner lover I need something to remove it and this does the job perfectly. Its strong enough to remove even waterproof mascara but gentle enough not to irritate my eyes. Its also fragrance free which I like about it because who really wants to be walking around with their eyes smelling weird?!

Johnson's 24hr Day Cream: I bought this as sort of an impulse buy a couple of weeks ago and as you can see from the picture I have it almost gone! I really like this moisturiser in this morning because it soothes my skin and gives it the hydration it needs for the day plus it has SPF 15 in it too which is awesome!

Nail Polish Favourites:

Essence Colour & Go - That's What I Mint
Nicka K Nail Enamel - Pink Sapphire
NYC Quick Dry - Water Street Blue

Hope you enjoyed reading and I'd love to know your August Favourites!

Review: L'Oreal Elvive Colour Protect

16:22 0
 Review: L'Oreal Elvive Colour Protect
Hey everyone!
This is a review of the L'Oreal Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo and Conditioner. I hope it's helpful!

So, having gone from a natural blonde to jet black hair I'm always on the look out for hair products that protect my hair color and keep it alive for longer! So as you can imagine I was very excited when I found this shampoo and conditioner on sale in the supermarket for a reasonable price (€3.00 each) so I thought to myself, hey its affordable and it seems like it could be a good product. It being an impulse buy I didn't take time to read any reviews on it so I honestly had no idea what it would be like, all I knew is that it smelt so good, it had a real fruity smell I couldn't leave it behind, I knew I wanted my hair to smell like that so I went ahead and bought it!

The next day I decided to try my new shampoo and conditioner, to my misfortune the smell didn't last once I styled my hair so my hair was left odorless but on the plus side my hair felt super soft! I was having a love hate relationship with this product.

Finally after using it a few times, my love hate relationship quickly turned into just a hate relationship, I started to notice that it was striping the color from my hair as opposed to protecting it like it says on the bottle! The hair dye was running down the drain as I would rinse the shampoo from my hair and it started to leave my hair looking really dull but surprisingly still really soft. I guess this just wasn't the shampoo and conditioner for my hair type! That's what I get for impulse buying!

Let me know in the comments if you've tried this product and what you've thought about it!

Thank you for reading!! Louise, xo
