Top 4 Drugstore Mascaras

Top 4 Drugstore Mascaras
Evening ladies,

If you know me you know I love my Benefit They're Real mascara but since that is so expensive and not everyone want to splurge on a high end mascara, I figured I would list my favorite low end (drugstore) mascaras. Sometimes I find myself reaching for these more than my Benefit since these are easier to take off!! ( If you own They're Real you understand the struggle)

1. Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme Volume!
This is a voluminous mascara, it has a big thick wand to really make your lashes stand out! I have re-purchased this many times! Definitely my go to mascara.
It is priced around €11 and can be picked up from Boots. (or here online)

2. L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes
I actually got this one for free around Christmas time Boots was doing a promotion where if you spend €20 on L'Oreal products you get a free gift set and this was one of the items. I loved it as soon as I open it, my first thought was that it would make a great lower lash mascara. And it does! I tried to keep it until I used up my other mascaras but I just couldn't help myself.
It is priced around €16 and can be picked up from Boots stores. (Or here online)

3. NYC Big Bold Volume By The Lash
This one was a recommendation by Irish Beauty and Fashion Blogger Suzanne Jackson (www.sosueme.ie) She recommend this is one of her posts on her blog so I decided to give it a shot. When I looked at the tester in store I fell in love with the size of the wand, its huge!! Its a great Voluminous mascara.
It can be picked up in most Penneys stores and is priced around €3.50

4. Maybelline Great Lash
Another Maybelline product, this one I use only for my bottom lash line. Its waterproof so if you're eyes fill up watching a rom com then have no fear! That being said although it's waterproof it is easily removed with some eye make-up remover. I use Simple Kind To Eyes Eye Make-up Remover.
This mascara is priced around €7.50 and also can be purchased from Boots (or here online)

Sigma Brushes | Are they worth the hype?

Sigma Brushes | Are they worth the hype?
Hello ladies,

So I'm sure a lot of you know about the make-up brush brand Sigma Beauty, if you watch YouTube videos you have probably seen everyone and their mother using these brushes.

Curiosity got the better of me and I ordered some, I was a little bit shocked at the prices, they range from €20 all the way up to €500 for there single brushes and sets. €500 for a brush set? No way was I paying that! So I looked in their travel section and found this little cute set called the Mrs Bunny Travel Kit. On the website it was priced at $86.00 so roughly around €76.00. So I added that to my cart, then on top of that shipping was €20. Before I even got to see the brushes I had already spent €96.00.

It took about two weeks for them to arrive but when they did I got a shock, the post man told me I owed another €20 for custom charge bringing my total to €116.00 for this set that I still hadn't gotten to see in person yet.

When I finally got to open the box there was 7 brushes in it:
  • E30 - Pencil: Soften and smoke out lines. Soften pencil liners along the top and bottom lash lines, add shadow to line the eyes, or use to highlight inner corner of eyes.
  • E40 - Tapered Blending: Soft blended crease. Using just the tips to apply color, sweep back and forth through the crease for a diffused and blended finish.
  • E55 - Eye Shading: Even application of color. Place color across the whole lid for an even and strong application of product.
  • E65 - Small Angle: Create precise lining. Moves fluidly and easily across the upper and lower lash lines. Use with gel, cream or powder liners.
  • F30 - Large Powder: Even powder application. Uniform blending of powder products onto the face and body.
  • F40 - Large Angled Contour: Subtle cheek application. Use the angle to softly contour the cheekbone. Can also be used to apply blush.
  • F60 - Foundation: Smooth foundation application. Apply liquid or cream products such as foundation and primer.

They were a relatively okay size considering they are travel brushes, they came in a travel case that held all the brushes together.
The brushes themselves weren't overly exciting, yes they were soft but no different to Real Technique brushes, which are less than half the price of these.

I do find I wasted my money as the only two brushes that get the most use is the E40 and the F40 brush, I usually just reach for my Real Technique brushes daily.

So in my opinion I don't particularly think Sigma are worth the hype, maybe they would be if I lived in America and I didn't have to pay so much to receive them.
Don't get me wrong they feel great but so do many other brushes that are half there price. If I ever do purchase Sigma again, I'll order from Cloud10Beauty which have free shipping on orders over €50. But unfortunately I didn't know about them until after I placed my order on Sigma Beauty.

That being said I do feel that their E40 brush is a staple in my collection.

I am in no way trying to bash Sigma or any of their products in this post. I just sharing my experience with them and what I personally think.
Have you tried Sigma?

5 Workout's To Tone Your Stomach

Evening ladies,
I've been feeling a little bit motivated today so I wanted to do a fitness post as I haven't done one in quite some time. So today I share what exercises I like to do to try and tone my stomach. I still have a  very long way to go but hopefully I will get there. And with summer fast approaching its motivating me to work out more.

1. The plank:

  1. Start with the push-up position.
  2. Lower both your forearms to the ground so that both your elbows and fists are flat to the ground.
  3. Curl your toes under and engage your abs by tilting your pelvis and pulling your belly button toward your spine.
  4. Straighten your body but keep your neck and spine neutral.
  5. Flex your abdominals and squeeze your glutes.
  6. Hold this position, until after the burning begins.

2. V Ups

  1. Lie down on a flat surface or mat.
  2. Start with your legs straight, then come up.
  3. Touch your toes, and then let your torso fall back down.
  4. Bring your legs up into the air, touching your toes again.
